| 改革开放取得的巨大成就举世公认，所带来的一系列社会新矛盾也不可回避。如何妥善处理好现阶段的社会矛盾，保证改革开放顺利进行，仍要到社会主义基本矛盾理论中寻找答案。毛泽东第一次科学地阐明了社会主义社会基本矛盾及其性质和特点，创造性地提出了正确区分和处理两类不同性质矛盾的立场和方法，为改革开放提供了原则上的指导。以邓小平为代表的中国共产党第二代领导集体开启了改革开放新征程，从理论渊源来看，来自于对毛泽东社会主义社会基本矛盾理论的继承和发展。今天，在全面建成小康社会新的历史时期，要全面深化改革，顺利完成“两个百年”的重大历史任务，仍然要以社会主义基本矛盾理论为指导，通过深化社会主义社会主要矛盾的解决带动社会主义社会基本矛盾的解决。 |

| China has achieved great achievements since the reform and opening up, and meanwhile it has to face a series of newly unavoidable social conflicts. It is necessary to find the way to settle down how to properly handle the current social contradictions and ensure the development of the reform and opening up. Mao Zedong clarified the socialist fundamental contradiction, its nature and characteristics for the first time, and creatively put forward the concept and method to distinguish and deal with two different kinds of contradiction, which provided the guiding principles for the reform and opening up. As the representative of the second generation of the collective leadership of the Communist Party of China, Deng Xiaoping launched a new journey of reform and opening-up, which inherited and developed Mao Zedongs socialist fundamental contradiction theory in the theoretical origin. Currently, in the new historical period of building an all-round comparatively well-off society, it is necessary to adhere to the guidance of socialist fundamental contradiction theory to settle down the socialist basic contradiction by deepening the main socialist contradictions. |
