| Solving the Hong Kong’s issue was the process of British colonial withdrawal from Hong Kong.In this process,the United Kingdom has proposed such programs and models as renewal and extension of the treaties,exchanging sovereignty for the right to rule,striving for the greatest degree of autonomy for Hong Kong,etc.,which are the results of weighting the pros and the cons of various programs of interests,and adjusting its policies according to the change of the situation to meet its maximized colonial interests. |
