| In modern China,it was a fashion for foreigners to spend their summer holidays in China,which became an important part and regular practice of their life in China.With the active development by the missionary-headed foreigners living in China,there formed many summer resorts,such as Lushan in Jiangxi Province,Moganshan in Zhejiang Province,Beidaihe in Hebei Province,Jigongshan in Henan Province,and Qingdao in Shandong Province.The formation of the fashion of foreigners’ summer holidays in China lies in that the summer resorts were their shelter for health,warm overseas homes and ideal meeting places,which had met their multiply profound needs. |
