| Under the background of the French Revolution,the novel A Tale of Two Cities reveals the evil of the feudal aristocrats from the bourgeois humanitarianism.Dickens’ humanitarianism reflected in this novel is expounded in details.A lot of textual evidences are provided to illustrate the progressiveness and limitation of his humanitarianism,which has somewhat significance for the construction of harmonious society in this new historical period. |
