| Among the intellectuals of the Middle Tang Dynasty, Liu Yuxi highlighted himself with his scholarofficial feelings, thus his Ci poetry had a distinct individuality, which also affected his creation. He chose Ci poetry to express his feelings and philosophical thinking, when his political career got frustrated. Though he explicitly proposed that Ci creation must follow the beat, most of his creations were neat speeches, like the rhymed poetry. Those factors made his Ci poets have an obvious tendency as a poem. In fact, it was not his new exploration, but it was closely related with his scholarofficial feelings. |
