ince the concept of community was introduced to China in the 1980s, more and more attention has been paid to the issues of the communitys harmonious construction and its development by the governments at all levels in China. Previous models and schemes about community planning do not meet the needs of current modern community construction any longer. In order to facilitate the construction of socialist harmonious society, it is of much importance to make comparisons between the models of both domestic and foreign advanced community governance, and explore the innovative governance models suitable for current community development in China.
