Abstract:Don DeLillos novel Falling Man depicts how a victim of “September 11” terrorist attacks and his family tried hard to live a normal life, which reflects the traumatic experience of the whole nation of the United States. Furthermore, by exploring the causes of terror, the novel manages to recall people to the crises they are in, i.e. the loss of virtue and faith. Human beings are expected to spare no effort to survive their mental fall and to achieve self-redemption.
