Abstract:Due to the drastically social changes from the late Ming Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty,the calligraphy art style also changed clearly from wild cursive hand in the late Ming Dynasty to the effeminate calligraphy style of Zhao Mengfu and Dong Qichang in the early Qing Dynasty,from the rigid and stiff Guangeti calligraphy to restores ancient ways of the stone tablet calligraphy in the middle and late Qing Dynasty.The calligraphy style changes fit deeply with the cultural ideological trend,calligrapher’s personality and social change.Exploring the change of calligraphy art style at certain history can be helpful to study the changes of calligraphy artists’ fate,social thoughts and political situations.
