Abstract:Under the background of globalization,due to the reasons,e.g.ignorance of the cultural differences between Chinese culture and Western culture,cultural and lexical vacancies,differences of idiomatic expressions in source language and target language,and the publicity materials translator’s competence as well as his comprehensive quality,there are mistranslations in publicity materials translation.Facing with quite a lot of issues and challenges,publicity materials translators should exert their greatest efforts to improve the quality of publicity materials translation.
