From the starting point, the voice that females required liberation was placed in the context of national state construction. This was an important characteristic of Chinese female liberation movement which was recorded by female newspapers and magazines extensively emerging in the period of the 1911 Revolution.Hidden behind this characteristic, there was a fact that new female images were shaped according to males’ viewpoints. In a patriarchal society, female voice could not avoid the influence of the male.In the patriarchal society of the period of the 1911 Revolution, the male also impacted female liberation thoughts and the collective utterance of female newspapers and magazines via creating two myths of "maternity" and "save the nation from extinction" to shape female intellectuals at that moment.Female voice naturally integrated into the utterance of national state construction which was of significant meaning and made Chinese females’ identity as "social people" stable.Nevertheless, female newspapers and magazines failed to establish their public utterance space in the end, which indicated the arduous journey of female liberation. If female newspapers and magazines were to utter real "female voice",female intellectuals should speak out in their own utterance pattern from the standpoint of feminist.
