Abstract:Philip Larkin, the distinguished English poet, sees the lovely everyday life as the repositories and wonders that includes its quality of repression and liberation. Only in everyday life, happiness and hope can be obtained and man can grow up as a “whole man”. Although commonness is a superficial point in Larkins poetry, his description on everyday life, the strategy of self salvation in poetry writing, makes Larkins works uniqueand poetical. Lovely everyday things, non hero and plain language, the beautiful blossoms of his poetry, have constructed an remarkable art between “high art” and “ordinary” existence, which present a moving panorama for the exploration of the British poetic redemption in the middle of the 20th century.
