Regarding the specific guiding ideology of ruling, the Emperor Taizong pursues the Confucian-exterior-and-Taoism-interior way of life, advocates a pure heart and few desires, and governs by doing nothing that goes against nature, so as to achieve the result of having a clear country and an upright monarch. Meanwhile, the Emperor Taizong constructs the system of official virtue with Confucian ethics, and emphasizes the ruling responsibility and supervision, so as to be able to accept advice from his inferiors and officers being honest and upright. Regarding the relation between the monarch and the people, he carries out the policy of “benevolence and loving”, so as to be acclaimed by the people. The Emperor Taizong’s ruling has not only created a brilliant prosperity of the Chinese nation, but also provided theoretical references and values for the building of the CPC, the ties between the Party and the masses, and for combating corruption and advocating an honest and clean government.
