Lewis Carrolls famous novel Alice in Wonderland has at least four parody poems. These poems embody two characteristics of parody poems, i.e. invisibility and anti-didactic amusement. Together, they perform parodys potential function of preserving poets and writings that are on the verge of sinking into oblivion. In an entertaining way, the parody literature interacts with the serious literature, forming a good way for readers to be familiar with and study the serious literature.
