Abstract:Lewis Carrolls famous novel Alice in Wonderland has at least four parody poems. These poems embody two characteristics of parody poems, i.e. invisibility and anti-didactic amusement. Together, they perform parodys potential function of preserving poets and writings that are on the verge of sinking into oblivion. In an entertaining way, the parody literature interacts with the serious literature, forming a good way for readers to be familiar with and study the serious literature.
