| The black and white documentary pictures of Mao Zedong during the Yanan period truly reproduced Mao Zedongs revolutionary life in Yanan, which reflected not only the photographical “amateurship” and simple values at that time, but also the populism style of Comrade Mao Zedongs hardworking and his heroic temperament with perseverance. The black and white documentary pictures of Mao Zedong during the Yanan period truly recorded the hardness of reality and the firmly revolutionary ideal of the revolutionary times, and showed the artistic spirit of realism, meanwhile they embodied the liberal democracy and the openness of collectivism during the Yanan period. |
