      元语言是描述语言的语言,简单来说就是用来描述和分析语言的专门用语;元语言能力是思考和反思语言的特征和功能的能力,由于其与语法教学法的传统联系,在当今交际教学法盛行的环境下,元语言能力经常被忽略。然而无论从促进二语语言能力发展的角度还是从思辨能力培养的角度来说,元语言能力的培养都是非常重要和必要的。为了培养元语言能力,我们要加强母语教育、在交际教学课堂中导入元语言能力训练活动,并且加强外语教师的元语言能力。
英文摘要:
      Metalanguage is the language that describes language; to put it simply, it refers the terminology used for describing and analyzing language. Metalinguistic competence refers to the ability to think of and reflect on the features and function of language. Metalanguage and metalinguistic competence are often neglected because of their traditional linkage with grammatical teaching, especially in the current of communicative language teaching. However, the development of metalinguistic competence is necessary and significant because of its contribution to L2 competence and critical thinking. In order for it to develop, emphasis should be given to native language education, lead-in of metalinguistic activities and teachers’ metalinguistic competence.
