| Through the deep decoding of N-level coding, this paper aims to reveal the deep logical relation: “Qi”, with “Yan” and “Jin”, has the semiotic function of gathering people, while “Jin” is the symbol of male reproductive worship in ancient times. Accordingly we may have a shallow understanding: “Qi”, as an ancient banner, its original function was to call on the peoples gathering and held great sacrificial activities to pray for the great and flourishing population of the tribe. In ancient times, people often drew “flood dragon” with reproductive symbol on “Qi”, or hung a “bell” which could communicate with God by audio-visual effect to realize the original function. |
